Lowes Deal
Friday through Sunday you can get an extra $5 off $50, $10 off $100 or $15 off $150 or more in addition to your instasave savings (I need to learn how to direct you to other posts by just clicking on to my word instasave).
So, get $50 worth of food before coupons and you can save $15 automatically... Here are some things you can buy that we have recent coupons for...

Oh yeah!
Went to Lowes today and used my Instasave-- It rocked! I bought a rack of pork baby back ribs, a package of ground turkey meat, 3 bottles of Kraft BBQ sauce, 4 bottles of French's mustard, 4 bottles of Texas Pete, 4 packs of Trident gum, 2 pounds of strawberries, 4 loaves of Nature's Pride bread (the hearty expensive kind) and 3 1/2 gallons of Breyer's ice cream. AND I paid $15.64!!!! I love couponing and saving money!

Mac and Cheese Please
At Bi-Lo this week if you buy 6 boxes of Kraft macaroni and cheese you will pay $3 (at 2 for a $1) and get a coupon back for $2 off your next purchase at Bi-Lo. So, 6 boxes for a buck. You can do the deal as many times as you would like, but remember that you will probably not get a $2 off coupon if you use a $2 off coupon. Most of those deals work that way.
And if that isn't enough mac and cheese for you-- Harris Teeter has Velveeta cups for $1 each. If you buy any 3 selected Kraft products you save $3 automatically off your receipt, so 3 cups for free! You can do the deal as many times as you like, but they run out pretty quickly. So, enjoy the mac and cheese!

Lowes Instasaver
I just signed up for the Lowes easy saver program and I have to say-- why didn't I do this sooner?? I went to the website filled in my information and was able to sign up for coupons that will automatically deducted from my bill when it comes time to pay. The coolest one is an automatic $10 off $50 before coupons. So, sign up and see if you can get to $50 and coupon your way back down to nothing! Thanks to the ladies at Charlottemommies and Coupon Queens of Laurel Run for their tips on this program!

Rainchecks 101
Rainchecks are a great way to save money on products that are on sale. When a store runs out of an item that is on sale you can get a raincheck on that product to purchase in the future. Target does not do rainchecks on many items, but most other stores do.
An example of savings with a raincheck would be from Harris Teeter. Two weeks ago Harris Teeter had their frozen chicken breasts on sale Buy 1 Get 2 Free. In case you didn't know HT raises the prices of many items before they put them on sale for Buy 1 Get 1 Free or Buy 2 Get 3 Free or Buy 1 Get 2 Free. This is the case with their frozen chicken. During B1G2 sales the chicken is $9.99, but if you get a raincheck you can get the chicken for $7.99 a bag, saving you $2 for every 3 bags of chicken. You can also save money buy using your rainchecks at triples--making something free at triples that otherwise would not be.
The best time to find stores low on merchandise is in the evenings (especially on weekends) after they have had shoppers all day and before the trucks come in to replinish their supplies. But, you also have to go early enough that the Customer Service desk is still open and you can get a raincheck. Drugstores have rainchecks behind the counters, so that is not an issue. CVS will now issue rainchecks that include ecbs and the sale price something that Walgreens can't do with their Register Rewards. When in doubt about a raincheck-- ASK. Stores want to get you in their stores, so be polite, friendly and ask.
Keep your rainchecks--most stores' rainchecks are good indefinitely, but once again ask. Also keep in mind you can't get a raincheck on using coupons for triples. If you have a coupon you want to triple and they are out of that item they will not triple it in the future if triples is over. You are just out of luck.
